The strategist bases his strategy on the wisdom of Paul Graham, PhD Harvard graduate who said the following: “You need 3 things to create a successful startup: 1) hire exceptionally great people, 2) make something customers actually want and 3) spend only on the priorities and maximize profitability.
The strategist stresses the importance of starting simple. Only try what you are good at, at least initially. Do what you’re passionate about, know and love. In the beginning you really want to keep things as simple as possible.
Also give it a time. Making a startup successful will not happen overnight. Don’t get discouraged. Don’t give up. But, at the same time, be realistic and stay on track. Never, EVER keep pouring money into a horse with a bad leg. If you see something is failing and it’s costing money, move on.
